When the robo-Colbert was asked if he had ever questioned the nature of his existence, he quipped: "Every day since November 8. O ther memorable comic set-pieces at Sunday's awards show included a song-and-dance number based on Channel 4's The Handmaid's Tale, and Black Mirror writer Charlie Brooker's quirky acceptance speech, in which he asked the audience to "physically make love".
